FAQ

Questions people ask first.

A plain-language guide for listeners, artists, labels and anyone trying to understand the Signal Sabotage network.

Artists and Wallets

Is the artist wallet a bank account?

No. It is an internal payout ledger showing artist/member balances based on confirmed donations. Money is still paid out manually/admin-approved at this stage.

How are donations split?

A paid donation records gross amount, payment gateway fees, BuzzPromo/platform fees and artist payout. Artist payout can then be split using member split percentages.

Can band members see their own split?

Yes. The artist app can show a logged-in member their configured share of the artist wallet balance.

Do you normalise or rewrite artists’ music?

No. The loudness tools analyse LUFS and apply player-side gain. They do not remaster, normalise, transcode or rewrite the MP3 files.

General

What is BuzzPromo Distro?

BuzzPromo is a QR-powered independent music discovery platform with mobile players, listener likes, playlists, follows, artist messaging, analytics, donations and wallet-led payout tracking.

Is this only for QR codes?

No. QR codes are a strong real-world entry point, but the same campaign links can be shared online, embedded later, or used as artist/label campaign pages.

Why does mobile open a different player?

Mobile users need a fast app-style player. Desktop users get the full desktop player experience. Smart frontend links route to the right player automatically.

Labels / Distributors

Can a label manage multiple artists?

Yes. The platform includes label/distributor portal work for roster visibility, campaign stats, tracks and payouts.

Can labels export payout reports?

Admin and payout pages include CSV exports and wallet statements. Label-specific exports can be expanded further as needed.

Listeners

Do listeners need an account?

Listeners can discover music quickly, and listener profiles allow likes, playlists, follows, recent plays and notification settings to persist.

Can listeners share songs and playlists?

Yes. Shared track and playlist links include social preview artwork using ID3 track art or campaign artwork fallback.

What is “For You”?

The For You feed recommends tracks, followed artists and playlist discovery content based on listener activity and platform music.

Transparency

Why show donation fees publicly?

The platform is built around total honesty: listeners and artists should see how much was donated, what gateways took, what BuzzPromo took, and what artists received.

What does “wallet credited” mean?

It means the artist/member payout amount has been posted to the internal wallet ledger, ready for payout request or admin payout workflows.
